Let's get the ball rolling with something that requires no expertise - just your opinion. In the spirit of fun and controversy I offer a very heavy 7' wide Victorian Chesterfield some of you may have seen on our website. The sofa dates from around 1890 with the bun feet added much more recently. It's upholstered in pink leather with a stenciled hairy cowhide seat.

After spending many years upholstering Victorian Chesterfields to the customer's specifications in brown leather and velvet we wanted to let off some steam - so the buck stops with me and Ruth. The whole point of the exercise was to shock and provoke a response - so respond.

What do you think boys:

1st boy aged 13: awful

2nd boy aged 18: b***** awful

Jean aged (well, that's for me to know!) : Er, not sure. Certainly wouldn't work in a 14th century house!

Husband: Barbie eat your heart out.

Looks like my lot have not taste! Sorry!

As I Scrolled down my first thought was excellent deep buttonning, not sure about the colour, wouldn't be my choice, then I reached the mock leopard skin base. YUUUCKKKK!!! Whatever poossessed you. A lovely old piece vandalised! Are Birds of a Feather due back on telly, they may like it for the set. Still, everyone to their own taste as they say, one man's meat and so on.

Happy New Year to all.

My 15 year old daughter thinks the colour is fantastic and said she would love one in her house as her favorite colour is pink but she does,nt like the shoes, excellent upholstery.

Thought the '70's were hip and groovy with today's youngsters! Surely any self respecting pink loving 15 year-old would sell their souls for a pair of Underground Shoes pink suede and leopardskin brothel creepers - if for no other reason than to wind -up the old folks. She couldn't have seen them properly - here's a closer look.

Thanks Veronica, Ruth doesn't wear the shoes, not because they're collector's items - they're not - but because she hasn't plucked up enough courage. She likes to go on about how punky she was in the late '70's - but talk is cheap. Have a look at www.undergroundshoes.co.uk
