Could have sworn there was another upholstery forum out there but can't seem to find it. Too much wine methinks.

| Oh my , oh my. Watching this forum from a 'distance', so to speak, is a very revealing experience. So much effort for such little gain. It's really very amusing and psychologically revealing |

| Hi Marge - I thought I'd scared you off - wouldn't you be happier contributing your 'observations' to a forum for like minded pseudo-professionals? |

| Scared me off? No - that was just a turn of phrase. No-one does that to me. I do flit about a few forums. They provide really interesting material for my research. This one has just been particularly interesting recently. I won't be around for too long - don't worry. |

| Marge, you're either mad or a glove puppet. Stay as long as you like, you're very welcome. Just a thought though; if you're here on 'research' don't you think there's a danger that your interventions will contaminate your results? |

Maybe I am sad, but i really enjoy the Old Sofas forum ! I have only just joined but I find the advice & comments from people like David ,Ruth & Jean in France very encouraging . Its good to know I can ask a simple question that to them is basic , but not to me & they respond with good advice . Keep up the good work & thank you . Its like talking to old friends . If people do not like it ,they have a choice .........walk ! Regards |

I could not agree more. I met David and Ruth a year and a half ago. They invited me (a complete stranger) to Wales and I spent 2 weeks learning and working with them in their shop -- an amazing experience it was. They are tremendously gracious people and have a wicked sense of humour. So if people don't get it -- or them -- well, I say . . . or as you English say, "bugger off!!" (So as not ot offend anyone, I say this with a tremendous sense of humour . . . the "bugger off" part, that is.)
Now David and Ruth . . . how about reconsidering teaching again? |

Are you sure?!! Well, I think I am definitely ready for learning how to tie springs and even tackle a chesterfield. But you might want to think about it! I could very well end up on your doorstep! :)
By the way, what is an avatar?
