I bet you two prod and shake your pressies under the christmas tree to try and pre-empt the surprise. It was supposed to be boxing day but to be honest it was also the 12th anniversary of my first date with Ruth, plus we've got Ruth's 24 year old son staying with with us, plus Ruth's brother, sister in law, baby neice and dog - so we've been busy - I've been hiding in the workshop!

We'll get back to you tomorrow - when they've all gone!!

You spent the anniversary of your first date with Ruth hiding in the workshop???!!!!
I do hope not - shame on you
And yes - I prod my pressies until they almost burst - wouldn't be Christmas otherwise. My grown up daughters tell me off - role reversal kicking in - but great fun being the naughty one instead of them.
I might not sleep tonight wondering.....
Jean will you be OK?

What's wrong with spending their anniversary hidden in the workshop - presumably they have a couple of old sofas in there.

Sue - thanks for your concern. Cheap on nail varnish for a few weeks anyway!

No - my grammar didn't scan correctly. I read it that David was in the workshop on his own - hiding when it was their anniversary - so much for being a literacy consultant!!!
I'd better retire now.
I wish I had a 12th anniversary - coming up for 27 years!! Yikes - not sure I'd fancy a session in the workshop on old sofas - but then again....?
So long as I didn't get fleas?
Nostalgia setting in here....
Oooooh

Wow! Not much else to say unless " hope the next 40something are as good as the first 40something!"
