Perhaps I am out of order to join this forum as a supplier and competitor to Old Sofas but as they have now found other avenues, lucky people, I still struggle on in the family business having been involved with upholstery all my life, my Father was a self employed master Upholsterer. It was with surprise that I watched from afar the great interest in Upholstery I thought them days had gone with the far Eastern imports. But it would seem that people still care for traditional quality. For Old Sofas to attempt what they did always a dream of mine but never brave enough, restoring delapidated furniture to their original beauty and self taught,I hope they have not given up because they were not successful because they deserved to succeed.
I do supply upholstery supplies and give advice, the advice I give was instilled in my memory by my Father and my elder Brother also an Upholsterer it might not be right but it has done us well for the past 70 years.
as Old Sofas' it would seem wish to give up on upholstery altogether perhaps I can advertise my site without feeling guilty and certainly not belittling Old Sofas but giving you the members another avenue without any insults as it would seem you have received from a rival forum
